Growth is a beautiful thing...

My art is definitely improving again. Weird how it cycles like seasons sometimes and growth has been tremendous thanks to no small part than having to get work ready for Austin Art Mob's first group show at Progress. I painted for so many days of being covered up to my elbows in Burnt Umber and Cobalt Blue. It's nice not to be sticky from linseed oil today although I am painting in between teaching group art classes in my art apartment. I'm just not on a frantic deadline today-thankfully! We had less than 3 weeks to create new work for our themed, "Hipsters on Masonite" show and I am so happy that our group not only pulled it off but did so magnificently. I paint pretty much every day now and am also happy about teaching for AMOA again in the Fall. I am returning after a few year break to teach my five session class I created in encaustic painting. I may also teach additional painting classes for them, as well.
