And so I am still fixing a painting I originally "finished" 2 years ago (been only painting for about 4) and am revising the revisions of the revised revisions and so on. Part of me wishes I left it as a record of my painting ability or lack thereof 2 years ago but there is no Command-Z in painting. I do think in terms of formal considerations I have improved upon it and boy it still needs alot more work... I really prefer work that is NOT overly polished looking when it comes to the figure but it still has to hold together. Kind of opposing philosophies perhaps but I enjoy a great challenge.
