Wowzer. It Sure has Been a Long Time!

SO much has been going on since I last wrote here. I am over halfway through my third semester back in school for my second degree. This time I am studying 3D Modeling and some animation. I have been in school Full Time and working a part time photo studio job plus teaching 2 classes and hosting a three hour art session every week. I just wrapped up teaching encaustic painting for the Austin Museum of Art again and will be teaching again next year. I just quit my Photo job- yes, in this bad awful economy but sometimes you have to prune the tree even if you are dead broke, in order for things to have room to grow. I am in such an amazing, positive space now. IT was a huge relief to leave there. And as if my schedule is not packed enough, I asked to do a LONG NEEDED MAKEOVER of the Austin Visual Arts Association facilities for the painting and drawing sessions. I got the go ahead/awesome and will be painting walls and hauling stuff out with a skeleton so far group of volunteers. It will be great to get the place looking great. I miss having my own little public gallery space and do hope one day to do another one but for now I get to help provide something great for the entire artist community which is really nice.
